Claynorth is a place to slow down at the wheel. We run approachable pottery sessions for beginners and returning makers, then open the shelves for pieces that have stayed with us after the kiln. The room is informal by design: aprons on hooks, tools within reach, a long table for conversation.
Our workshops are led in small groups, with enough time to understand the material rather than chase a perfect outcome. You can try a first pinch pot, learn to centre clay, or build confidence through a four-week wheel course. We keep the pace practical, friendly and generous.

“The best vessels carry the memory of the hand that made them.”
In the shop, you will find mugs, bowls, serving pieces and small gifts from our studio and a changing group of regional makers. Nothing is mass-produced. Some pieces are perfectly balanced; some have a soft wobble, a glaze run or a thumbprint. We think those details are the point.
