Claynorth began with the simple wish for a regular, grounded place to make things in Kuwait City.

Useful, not precious

We like clay because it asks for attention without asking for ceremony. It can become a cup you reach for each morning, a bowl passed around the table, or an imperfect form that reminds you to try again. Our work is guided by use, texture and the character that appears when a material is allowed to speak.

A shared workroom

The studio is intentionally small. We know names, celebrate first successful cylinders and make room for questions. Classes are a mix of clear demonstrations and independent time. There is no pressure to make a matching set, and there is always another lump of clay.

Firing and finish

Most workshop work remains with us for drying, bisque firing, glazing and a final kiln firing. This takes a little time; clay cannot be hurried without consequences. We will contact you when your pieces are ready for collection. For our own collection, we choose durable stoneware and food-safe glazes suitable for regular home use.
